Mitigation of 6-OHDA-induced mechanical hyperreflexia by DP. Within 5 min post-surgery, animals were treated with either 5 mg/kg DP or an equal volume of saline through daily intraperitoneal injection for 5 weeks. Note that beginning at the second week, the 6-OHDA group showed significant mechanical hyperreflexia when compared to the sham group.
