SOD1 mutation (G93A) is related to altered gene expression and induces apoptosis. a The heat map of RNA-seq from subcellular fractionized wt and mtNSC-34 stable cells showed that relative expressions of Hif1α, Mef2c, Mctp1 and Rarb are altered by SOD1(G93A). The relative expression genes was displayed as colors: higher (red) or lower (green). The heat map represents the average of three samples. b RT-PCR analysis explained that Mctp1 and Rarb introns are upregulated in nucleus of mtNSC-34 cells and Mctp1 and Rarb exons are highly downregulated in cytoplasm of mtNSC-34 cells. c RT-qPCR analysis showed that Mctp1 and Rarb transcripts are decreased in mtNSC-34 cells. d miR-206 expression was induced in mtNSC-34 cells. e and f SOD1 aggregation (arrow) prevents neuronal differentiation (MAP2) and increases intracellular Ca2+ levels (WT (0.072) versus MT (0.108) in fluorescence intensities from baseline 490/525 ratio) in mtNSC-34 cells. Scale bar, 40 μm. Significantly different at *, p < 0.05; **, p < 0.005. The experiments were replicated 3 times
